The proQ story
proQ began as a specialist in measurement technology and has since evolved into a data-driven tech company. We started out as KHT, experts in precision measurement technology. We continued to build up our know-how as part of the KNAPP group, with a clear focus on high-quality product master data as the foundation of complete logistics solutions. proQ emerged from these endeavors, as a new brand with decades of experience.
Today, proQ is focused on a market that values process efficiency and high-quality data above all. We’ll help you record product master data automatically, quickly and precisely – and deliver it where it needs to be in the right quality.
1986
KHT was founded in Germany’s Ruhr Valley. Over four decades, the engineering company developed into a pioneer of measurement technology, with a focus on recording master data for logistics in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
2015
The KNAPP AG came on board, combining these solutions with over 50 years of logistics and automation know-how. Since then, we have done much more than just record master data: We also process it and make it available in the optimal quality.
2026
proQ is now a KNAPP brand and ready to take on a wider approach to the market, independent of the manufacturer. We provide both our products and our expertise independently through different partners and system integrators to over 1,500 systems installed around the globe.
